An enjoyable day will be spent stunning woodlands of learning how to make simple and fun items by weaving willow. During the day you will have the opportunity to create a number of different items as well and gain a basic understanding about materials used and where to find them. The group will meet in the Forest School classroom at Plumpton College before transferring to the Forest School site in Plumpton Wood.

Emma Purcell, an experienced basket maker and Forest School Leader will be the instructor for the day supporting and guiding students through the skills and techniques needed to create a range of simple and fun willow items.

Lunch will be a campfire cook-up with sausages, salads, sandwiches and hot or cold drinks.

In the case of inclement weather the course will be held in the Forest School Classroom.
